The city gave an update Monday in bankruptcy court. The water department stopped service to about 7,200 homes and businesses in June, compared to 1,570 in the same month last year. Water was restored to 43 percent after customers paid or worked out payment plans.

    Toledo Firefighters rescued four people from a burning apartment complex early this morning. A Lieutenant with the Toledo Fire Department says the call came at 6:50 a.m.The fire started on the third floor of the Arlington South apartments. Firefighters rescued four people from the burning building and brought them to safety. At this time, the fire is out and an investigator is on the scene. Six people, making up two families, are without a home and receiving assistance from the Red Cross.

The city gave an update Monday in bankruptcy court. The water department stopped service to about 7,200 homes and businesses in June, compared to 1,570 in the same month last year. Water was restored to 43 percent after customers paid or worked out payment plans.
