12th annual Glass City Beer Festival raises money for charity

Maumee, OHIO (WTVG) - This weekend you can raise a glass and raise money for charity.

The 12th annual Glass City Beer Festival is Friday night. The event features more than 230 beers from 40 craft breweries.

Every year, hundreds of people pack the Lucas County Rec Center for the event. In addition to enjoying a night out, beer and live music, every ticket purchased is raising money for charity.

Proceeds from the Glass City Beer Festival support the programs and services of Camp Courageous/ The Arc of NW Ohio and the NWO Hemophilia Foundation, which are both non-profit organizations. Camp Courageous/The Arc of NW Ohio serves individuals in our community with developmental disabilities. The NWO Hemophilia Foundation serves those affected by bleeding disorders.
