3 men die in Jerusalem Twp. crash

JERUSALEM TOWNSHIP, Ohio (WTVG) - Ohio State Highway Patrol troopers say three men are dead after a single-vehicle crash in Jerusalem Township Sunday morning.

Troopers say the crash happened at the intersection of Jerusalem and Teachout Roads around 8:39 AM.

State Troopers told our reporter on scene that a pick up truck ran a stop sign at the intersection. The truck drove across Jerusalem Road and went into a yard then into a tree.

According to a release from the Ohio State Highway Patrol, the truck overturned when it hit the tree and one of the occupants was ejected.

Troopers say all three occupants died in the crash.

The truck was driven by Jamey Metroff, 29, from Millbury, and his passengers were Daniel Teet, 30, and Joshua Teet, 27, both from Curtice.

Troopers believe alcohol was a factor in the crash and the occupants were not wearing seat belts.

The crash remains under investigation.
