Three arrested at OVI checkpoint in Lucas County

LUCAS COUNTY, Ohio (WTVG) - Three people are behind bars after authorities conducted an OVI checkpoint in Lucas County Friday night.

Ohio State Highway Patrol troopers were out from 8:00 PM to midnight on Holloway Road in Lucas County.

Officials say out of the 219 vehicles to go through the checkpoint, one driver was arrested for drunk driving, another was arrested for possessing marijuana, and a third driver was arrested for driving with a suspended license.

There will be another checkpoint set up Saturday night in Wood County.

The checkpoints are paid for by a federal grant.
