TOLEDO, Ohio (WTVG) - Lucas County Canine Care and Control is inviting prospective adopters to leave their superstitions at home this Friday.
The local shelter is hosting a one-day-only Fur-i-day the 13th flash adoption special. The adoption fee for all dogs will be a mere $13 (plus a $25 dog license).
That’s down from the normal rate of $100.
All dogs put up for adoption at the shelter have been spayed/neutered, vaccinated, dewormed, microchipped and heartworm tested.
This Fur-i-day the 13th special is being offered Friday from 11 a.m. to seven p.m. at the shelter on 410 South Erie Street.
If you’re not keen on snap decisions, you have the whole rest of October to take advantage of doggie discounts.
In celebration of Adopt a Shelter Dog Month, The Lucas County Canine Care & Control is offering an adoption fee of $75 for every dog throughout the month of October.
The shelter asks prospective adopters with resident dogs to bring those resident dogs in to visit the dog they are interested in adopting.
Families are also encouraged to bring their children to make sure everyone gets along.
