PANDORA (13abc Action News) -- UPDATE: Raymond Rainer, 33, and Derek Leach, 29, both of Wellston, are in custody. Initial story below.

8:00AM Friday, April 21, 2017:

He's considered armed, dangerous and possibly injured, and he's not alone.

Raymond Rainer, 33, of Wellston, and another person are on the run after allegedly stealing tools from an outbuilding, then crashing the getaway vehicle.

The apparent theft happened at about 9:00PM Thursday on Road 5 near Pandora and the Putnam/Allen County line.

According to the Sheriff of Putnam County, a person who lives nearby spotted two people stealing tools from a building, then followed them in a vehicle.

While trailing them, the witness says the escaping vehicle crashed and rolled onto its side, and the two occupants got out and ran.

Deputies say one of the suspects may be injured from the wreck. They are both considered armed and dangerous because deputies found ammunition inside the vehicle.

Investigators say the two may be looking for a ride back to Wellston.

If you anyone in the area asks for a ride, the Putnam County Sheriff says, "please ignore them, drive away and call law enforcement."

Deputies from both Allen and Putnam counties, along with K-9s and an air unit from the Ohio State Highway Patrol searched the area for several hours overnight, but did not find the suspects.
