CVS held up during early-morning armed robbery

TOLEDO (WTVG) - A suspect is on the run following a robbery Thursday morning at a Toledo pharmacy.

Toledo Police took a call around 4:00AM of an armed robbery at the CVS Pharmacy on Monroe and Douglas.

UPDATE: Detectives describe the suspect as a man wearing a hat and a scarf. According to witnesses, he walked inside the store and placed a note on the counter listing several prescription drugs he wanted.

Investigators say a gun was in the man's pocket, however he never took it out. The suspect allegedly told the clerks he would kill them if they contacted police.

The CVS is open 24 hours and an employee was inside at the time. At this point, no injuries have been reported.

Detectives are on scene reviewing surveillance video.

It's not clear whether the suspect got away with any stolen items.

The same drug store was robbed at about 2:00AM Sunday, October 22nd, roughly two and a half weeks ago.
