Crews battle two-alarm fire at vacant commercial building

TOLEDO (WTVG) - Firefighters are on the scene of a commercial building fire as of 11:00pm Friday.

The fire broke out before 10:00pm at Detroit and Phillips avenues. It currently has that intersection closed.

A spokesman for the Toledo Fire & Rescue Department says the building in question is vacant and that the fire has not affected any of the area buildings.

They say that crews had a hard time getting inside so they are attacking the fire from above with the ladder up on their fire trucks.

No one has been hurt. Crews will not be going inside the building to put out the fire that way.

We will bring you the latest on this on air and on our 13abc app as details come in.
