The deadline to sign up for Affordable Care through the open marketplace is December 15th. That gives you only a few weeks to fullfill the requirement that you have health insurance if your employer doesn't offer it. While Lawmakers continue to haggle with Obamacare and whether or not it will be repealed, Ohio Congresswoman Marcy Kaptur says changes wouldn't come until after 2018. "In fact, the bills that they're proposing even if they're going to be successful do not kick in until after 2018, they want to get through next years election," says Kaptur.
There are still government subsidies available to help people who can't afford the premiums pay for their coverage. Or you may qualify for Medicaid. You have to apply at: www.healthcare.gov
