PERRYBSURG, Ohio (WTVG) - Drivers in Perrysburg are about to see a lot of changes on SR 25 at I-475 this weekend.
For the past few weeks, the ramp from southbound I-475 to SR 25 has been closed for ramp construction. That closure will end on Friday, September 8.
Over the weekend, from Friday September 8 at 9:00 PM to Monday September 11 at 6:00 AM, SR 25 will be closed over I-475 while crews put the new traffic pattern in place. All ramps will remain open. Drivers can use US 20 or US 24 to detour.
The on Monday, September 11 at 6:00 AM, the new Diverging Diamond traffic pattern will be in place on SR 25 over I-475. Images provided by ODOT show that the traffic pattern will involve traffic flow to cross over into the opposite lanes over the interstate. The new pattern will also allow for sidewalks to be incorporated.
Also happening on Monday the 11th, the ramp from northbound I-475 to SR 25 will be closed to traffic for ramp construction. Drivers will be able to detour using northbound I-475 to westbound US 24, then flipping back to southbound I-475 to SR 25. That closure will end in mid-October.
Also through mid-October, SR 25 will be down to one lane in each direction between Eckel Junction and Jefferson Street.
ODOT expects the entire project to be finished by the end of October.
