Dundee, Michigan mourns the loss of its police chief

DUNDEE, Mich. (13abc Action News) - Village Manager David Uhl released the following statement Monday regarding the recent death of Dundee's police chief:

"It is with great sadness that the Village of Dundee reports the death of the Village Police Chief Todd Opperman. On Monday, December 18, 2017 at approximately 12 noon, the Village of Dundee was informed that Chief Opperman had died at his home. The death at this time has been listed from natural causes. The Village has no further information at this time.

Chief Opperman had a long and distinguished career in law enforcement and he was a valued member of the Village. The Village would like to convey its sincere condolences to Chief Opperman's family.

Funeral arrangements are pending and additional information will be forthcoming as available."
