Families spend Thanksgiving serving people in need

TOLEDO, Ohio (WTVG) Dozens of people took time away from their families to make a real difference in someone else's life. A number of volunteers and businesses were part of making Thursday a Happy Thanksgiving by serving those in need .

Mainstreet Ventures joined forces with Cherry Street Ministries to prepare, serve and deliver meals to the less fortunate.
They prepped all the traditional Thanksgiving trimmings and bagged 800 meals.

It was a packed house at Universal New Beginnings Soul Food Cafe. The christian based organization held it's third annual Thanksgiving feed the need program. Families received a home cooked meal.
