TOLEDO (WTVG) - It has been six months since the murder of a Toledo teen.

Toledo police said Cethus Manning, 19, was shot to death while in his mother's vehicle February 21, 2017 on Everett Street.

Capt. Joe Heffernan said there was little evidence left at the scene. They are reaching out to people in the community for tips to turn this cold case into a closed case.

Tuesday would have been Manning's 20th birthday. His family celebrated it at Woodlawn Cemetery.

Glenda Ellis-Manning, Cethus' mother said, "I shouldn't be having to come to a cemetery to visit my son sleeping in a grave. I should be able to go upstairs and he's sleeping in his room."

The family is raising money on Gofundme for a reward. It has an $8,000 goal for someone who can help close this case.
