Free dental care in Napoleon

WTVG - Dr. Michael Carpenter will host Dental Excellence of Napoleon's sixth annual Dentistry From The Heart event – providing a free day of dental care to the first 100 Northwest Ohio residents to register by noon.

Registration will start at 6:45 a.m. the morning of Friday, October 6th at Dental Excellence of Napoleon’s new building located at 875 Westmoreland Avenue, next to Napoleon City Schools.

Dr. Carpenter and his team of dentists, hygienists, and dental assistants will be donating their time and resources to provide those struggling to afford dental care with their choice of a free extraction, filling or cleaning. Services will be provided on a first-come, first-served basis. Early registration is not available.

“It's our way of giving back to the community,” says Dr. Carpenter. “This day is as rewarding for us as it is for our patients. Many people don't realize their oral health directly impacts many aspects of their overall health. If we can help prevent tooth decay, pain and disease for people who otherwise may not have had their needs addressed, and that amount of satisfaction is immeasurable."

Over the past six years, Dr. Carpenter and his team of volunteers have provided hundreds of patients with free cleanings, fillings and extractions through Dentistry From the Heart.

Dentistry From The Heart is a is a worldwide nonprofit organization dedicated to providing free dental care to those in need. Every year, thousands of individual dentists, hygienists, volunteers, and hundreds of practices across the world donate their time and resources to host their own DFTH events.
