Fulton Co. deputies investigating an armed carjacking

FULTON COUNTY (WTVG) - The Fulton County Sheriff’s Office investigating a reported armed carjacking Tuesday morning.

Dispatchers say the call came in as a man with a gun forcing the driver from his vehicle around 4:30 AM.

A sergeant with the Fulton County Sheriff's office tells 13abc the crime happened on SR-2 between Archbold and Pettisville. The driver told deputies he picked up a man near State Route 109 and County Road H. The driver reportedly tried to drop off the passenger, but the suspect showed a gun and demanded the victim keep driving.

Authorities say they found the car about a mile and a half from the scene. We're told the car was damaged from a crash somewhere else. Deputies found the driver walking near State Route 2 and County Road 19. The sheriff's office continues to investigate.
