"Internal Discipline" for head of MSP

LANSING (13abc Action News) - The head of the Michigan State Police will face what's being called "internal discipline" for sharing a Facebook post that called some NFL players "anti-American degenerates."

On Sunday in a Facebook post, Colonel Kriste Etue called players who kneel during the national anthem, "millionaire ingrates who hate America and disrespect our armed forces and veterans."

Several activists and civil rights groups called for her resignation.

Michigan Governor Rick Snyder said he would not fire her.

Col. Etue, promptly removed the post and issued an apology.

State Police haven't yet commented on what disciplinary actions will be taken.
