(VAN WERT) - Jamie Farr walked the streets of North Toledo as a child. As an adult, he has a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Next month, he'll walk on stage at Niswonger Performing Arts Center of Northwest Ohio.
The arts center in Van Wert had scheduled a performance of "Tuesdays with Morrie" starring Farr. But Farr withdrew from the project this week because of production problems. Instead, the star of M*A*S*H will present a mix of funny and poignant stories, show outtakes and answer questions during a show simply titled "An Afternoon with Jamie Farr." Patrons who purchased tickets to see "Tuesdays" can use their tickets for the new show scheduled for Sunday, October 8th at 3:00pm. Tickets are also available through the Niswonger box office at 419-238-6722.
Farr will share his show business memories and inside stories of M*A*S*H with the audience. 13abc's Lee Conklin will facilitate a question and answer session with Farr.
The format will be similar to a show now scheduled the previous night, October 7th at the Stranahan Theater in Toledo titled "An Evening with Jamie Farr" which also replaced a scheduled performance of "Tuesdays with Morrie." Tickets for the Toledo show are available through the Stranahan box office. Tickets purchased for the cancelled performance of Tuesdays with Morrie will be honored for the new show.
