Smash and grab suspects get away with bags of jewelry

TOLEDO, Ohio (13abc Action News) - A group of masked men robbed Leo Marks Jewelers on Secor road.
Toledo police detectives are reviewing surveillance video from the jewelry store. Thursday five men came in wielding hammers and smashed the display cases. Investigators say they were wearing gloves. The suspects got away with high end merchandise like Rolex watches.

"There was jewelry laying on the floor where they had snatched the jewelry and ran out of the store. The left behind the hammers that they used to smash the glass," said Toledo police Sgt. Patrick Myslinski.

Police are investigating how the suspects knew the layout of the business.
