Wade Kapszukiewicz To Accept Endorsement of Toledo Police and Fire Mayoral Candidate To Address City of Toledo Safety
TOLEDO- Toledo Mayoral candidate Wade Kapszukiewicz will hold a news conference tomorrow, Thursday, October 12, at 10:30 a.m., to address City of Toledo safety, including recent gun violence.
The announcement will be made in front of the Toledo Police Department Safety Building, 525 N. Erie Street.
“Today I am renewing my call for our safety forces to be brought up to the numbers supported by the United States Department of Justice. When I am Mayor, we can and will responsibly hire 40 new officers a year, bringing our total to 660. More than that, we must put a laser focus on ways to end gun violence in our city. My administration will bring the highest level focus to the issues surrounding the distress of our neighborhoods and our young people.”
Wade will be joined by members of Toledo’s Police, Toledo Police Command and Toledo Fire Departments who will also be announcing their endorsement of Wade Kapszukiewicz for Mayor.
“I am pleased and proud to accept the endorsement of the Toledo Firefighters Local 92, Toledo Police Patrolman’s Association and the Toledo Police Command Association. I appreciate the support of the hard working men and women of our safety forces.”
