Man killed after concrete chunks thrown from overpass

GENESEE COUNTY (WJRT) - Investigators say a Mount Morris man was killed after chunks of concrete were thrown from an I-75 overpass.The sheriff's office says it's investigating the case as a possible homicide.

It happened around 8:30 Wednesday night on I-75 south at Dodge Road in Vienna Township. Deputies say the victim was riding in a car when a concrete chunk came through the windshield.

The freeway was shut down a short time later. And a K9 unit and state police helicopter were brought in to investigate.

The sheriff's office is asking the community for dash cam footage or home surveillance footage from the area. It's interested in video captured between 7:00 pm and 8:30 pm.
