TOLEDO (WTVG) - A man wanted in a double shooting is still on the loose. The crime happened a few weeks ago at the Southwyck Landing Apartments. Now one of the victims is speaking out, hoping to drum up some leads.

One of the victims is the suspect's ex-girlfriend. She didn't want us to identify her for safety reasons. She hopes sharing her story can help put the man who shot her multiple times behind bars for good.

"At this point I fear for my life, I fear for my family," said the victim. This woman survived three gunshots to her chest and side. Her boyfriend was struck once.

Affidavits identify the suspect as 27-year old Kim Hyatt Jr. who is wanted for felonious assault. He is the victim's ex-boyfriend and they share a two-year old child together.

Hyatt Jr. was also accused of assaulting the victim back in January.

Their two-year old child was in the back seat of the car when the shooting happened and was not injured.

This all happened in the early morning hours back on February 28th in the parking lot at the Southwyck Landing Apartments.

She has a protection order against the suspect and says the young mom in Delta who was gunned down by her ex-boyfriend weighs heavy on her mind.

"Matters could have been way worse, you know it could have been a triple homicide," said the victim. "They want you to do a T.P.O. but it's like in a lot of cases that don't really matter; that still doesn't protect you."

She worries that her ex will try to hurt her again and living in fear is taking its toll. She is constantly worried and scared it will happen again. She would like anyone with information about Hyatt Jr.’s whereabouts to call Crimestopper at 419-255-1111.
