TOLEDO, Ohio (13abc Action News) - Mancy's announced it will open a new restaurant early next month.
Mancy's Ideal will open in the Hobby Lobby shopping plaza on Monroe Street replacing the Revolution Grille.
A news release says the new restaurant is inspired by Gus Mancy and Nikolas Graham. The cousins founded the original "The Ideal" restaurant in West Toledo nearly 100 years ago.
Managing partner Gus Mancy says the menu will be "from scratch" and "pay homage to the way things were done by my grandfather nearly 100 years ago." Managing partner Mike Mancy added, "the lessons learned from the first and second generations of Mancy's have helped our small businesses succeed in Northwest Ohio and we are proud to honor them with this new restaurant concept."
The restaurant space will be completely renovated and include a 40-seat expansion from the Revolution Grille.
The Mancy Restaurant Group includes Mancy's Steakhouse, Mancy's Italian Grill, Bluewater Grille and Shorty's.
A pre-opening event has been scheduled for October 3 at Mancy's Ideal to benefit the Ronald McDonald house. Reservations will be limited for the event.
