TOLEDO, Ohio (WTVG) - Drivers and pedestrians near the University of Toledo have been making their way around orange barrels on Bancroft for nearly a month.
City crews have been working on a sewer project in the area. That work has prompted the westbound lanes of Bancroft to be closed between Meadowwood and University Hills. The city says that those lanes should reopen by October 25, weather permitting.
But construction in the area is expected to last beyond October 25. In fact, the city says that lane closures between Densmore and Meadowwood will last through mid-November. No full closures for drivers in this area, but drivers and pedestrians will still see orange barrels and slow traffic. The city says that this part of the project will involve gas line work through Columbia Gas.
