TOLEDO (13abc Action News) - More than 700 people attended a WorkReady Manufacturing Seminar at Scott High School on Wednesday.
Lucas County commissioners and TPS partnered to provide job seekers with the tools to help land them job interviews.
Area business owners said hundreds of new living-wage manufacturing jobs will be available. At the seminar, people heard how they can prepare themselves for those positions.
Megan Vahey Casiere, Deputy County Administrator said, "it's very critical we let people know what the application process is, what manufacturing employment entails, not everybody will be interested, but a lot of people are."
Casiere said, job seekers can sell themselves by dressing the part, have a resume in order, arrive on time to the interview and make sure your skills are certified.
