Mother speaks out about son's sentencing

NORTH BALTIMORE (13abc Action News) - Maria Morales died of an heroin overdose in 2015. Now, two years later, her ex-boyfriend Christopher Hosler has been sentenced by a Wood County judge to five years of community control, 36 months in prison and he has to seek treatment for his addiction among other orders.

Hosler's mother, Dollie Sterling said her son needs help. However, people are making him out to be something he isn't. She just wants the best for him.

"I want him to better himself. I want him to be there for his children. I want him to walk in front of the judge and the judge say hey boy I'm proud of you," said Sterling.

After the North Baltimore woman's overdose, now four men have been charged in connection with her death.
