October has been very warm despite the cold finish

TOLEDO, OH (13abc Action News) – October is ending on a cloudy, cool, and dry streak. However, most of the month was warm and wet with above average sunshine. The average temperature was around 57 degrees which is about 5-degrees above average. The warmest day took place on October 3rd with a high of 86°. The coldest weather settled in during the morning of October 26th. That was the only day with a widespread frost or freeze during the month. Snow was not recorded in Toledo, but a trace of snow did occur southeast of the Glass City late in the month. 3.28" of rain fell at the Toledo Express airport which is about 3/4" above average. The sky was clear 55% of the time, but 5 out of the final 8 days of the month were cloudy.
