One person dies in crash involving ambulance

SANDUSKY COUNTY, Ohio (WTVG) - One person is dead after a crash involving an ambulance in Sandusky County.

It happened at 7:21 p.m. at the intersection of County Road 197 and State Route 19 in Green Creek Township.

The Ohio State Highway Patrol said William A. Bluethmann, 48, was driving west on CR 197 and didn't stop at stop sign, hitting the ambulance.

Troopers said the impact caused the ambulance to overturn.

OHP said the driver of the ambulance, Sandra L. Cline, 45, was flown to a hospital in Toledo where she later died.

Alcohol does not appear to be a factor and the crash still remains under investigation.
