TOLEDO, Ohio (WTVG) - Toledo police say a 3-year-old has died after a 7-year-old found a gun inside a home and shot the child.
Police have identified the victim as three-year old Tyrne Hoskins.
According to police, the children were babysat at a house in the 100 block of Rockingham Street in Toledo near Cherry Street.
Just before 1:00pm officers responded to a call of a person shot.
Police say upon arrival, officers located the toddler suffering from a gunshot wound.
The three-year-old was taken to Mercy Health St. Vincent Medical Center where the child was pronounced dead.
Police say at this point, the incident is ruled an accident.
Officers say that several people related to the incident were taken to the Safety Building for interviews.
