Student arrested after threat and lockdown at Eagle Learning Center

OREGON, Ohio (WTVG) - Oregon police tell 13abc that Eagle Learning Center was on lockdown for a time on Wednesday after a student threatened a faculty member.

Police say a 17-year-old threatened to pistol whip a teacher. When police arrived, they confiscated an air soft gun.

Police Chief Michael Navarre says that the teen is being charged with a felony and two misdemeanors including inducing panic.

Eagle Learning Center is a computer-based high school, near the intersection of Navarre and Wheeling.
