TOLEDO - (13abc, Action News) - Incumbent mayor Paula Hicks-Hudson will compete in the November general election after collecting 38.9% of the vote against Lucas County Treasurer Wade Kapszukiewicz (33.54%) and city councilman Tom Waniewski (26.75%).

This is the second time the incumbent has won an election with less than 50% of the vote against challengers.

Now, Hicks-Hudson and Kapszukiewicz will square off in the November general election.

13abc's Bill Hormann talked with the mayor about her race and how she plans to campaign against a fellow Democrat.
