Two survive plane crash unreported for hours

ADRIAN, Mi (WTVG) - A nearly unbelievable story of survival involved a small plane crash in Lenawee county Friday.

Two people were hurt, a man and woman. The woman escaped the plane and walked 3/4 of a mile to get help after the plane crashed into a tree. It happened in a rural area near the 6000 block of Lyons Highway near Gorman.

After the woman flagged down a passing motorist, authorities were notified around 2:30 Friday afternoon, but the crash actually happened in the morning. The plane crashed into a tree and broke apart.

Authorities say no one saw the crash.

The crash site is close to the Lenawee County airport.

The names of the victims have not been made public nor has the flight path of the plane that went down.
