Police save baby sea lion

SAN FRANCISCO (13abc Action News) - A baby seal lion has a couple of new buddies: a pair of San Francisco police officers.

The department says the two officers helped rescue the stranded pup, which they found shivering at a stairwell.

The animal cuddled with the officers to stay warm.

They named the pup "George Bison". And stayed close to make sure it was safe until rescue experts arrived.

A marine mammal center is now caring for the sea lion.
