The Junction building re-opens after hazmat scare

(TOLEDO) - First responders from Toledo Fire investigated a possible hazardous materials situation at The Junction building on the ProMedica campus downtown. The building reopened before 6:00pm Friday. TFD says they took readings and found nothing hazardous.

An envelope with a possible substance was discovered at the building which was evacuated as a precaution. But the fire department says there was no physical evidence of a hazardous substance found. The building is home to The Chop House restaurant, offices and a YMCA facility.

Firefighters cleared the scene late Friday and the building was re-opened to the public. The Chop House was opened in time for their dinner crowd.
