TOLEDO (WTVG) -- You may remember it as Rally by the River or Party in the Park.
Now, it's back as the ProMedica Summer Concert Series.
With the construction of the new ProMedica headquarters on the Toledo waterfront, the health system enhanced Promenade Park with a new ampitheater setting, an art installation and a large television screen for large crowds to view concerts.
The first concert of the inaugural season featured Northwest Ohio's own Caly Bevier performing with Arctic Clam.
Bevier captured the nation's attention in 2016 on America's Got Talent.
Headlining the concert was another hometown singer/songwriter, Crystal Bowersox, accompanied by the Toledo Symphony Orchestra.
Bowersox performed her original music as well as cover songs with arrangements that were written specifically for the concert.
The Promedica Summer Concert Series continues with the Toledo Symphony Orchestra and Steve Tyrell, Friday, August 25 at 7:30PM.
Then, The TSO and The Music of Prince, Friday, September 15 at 7:30PM.
All of the concerts are free, sponsored by ProMedica, The City of Toledo, The Toledo Department of Public Service and the Downtown Toledo Improvement District.
