Protect your garden from frost

After very warm temperatures through most of October Mother Nature is bringing in a real fall chill this week, which means it’s time to prepare for widespread frost.

Your garden may have enjoyed an extended growing season this year, but Mary Machon, owner of Bensell Greenhouse says certain plants need to be brought back in. "traditionally your house plants, people have taken ferns outside, palm trees outside, tropical hibiscus outside" Machon goes on to stay that those are the types of pants that won’t survive the frosty nights. Also start harvesting your fruits and veggies, like peppers and tomatoes so they don’t freeze as well.
