Protecting Kids from Predators on Musical.ly: What every parents needs to know

TOLEDO, Ohio (WTVG) An Iowa man was arrested in Northwest Ohio for driving to the home of a 12-year- old girl he was talking to on an app called Musical.ly.
Police are warning parents about the dangers of the app.
Perkins police arrested 43-year-old Adam Wesly Chapman for pandering obscenity after he drove 9 hours to meet the girl.
According to the police report, He showed up at the little girls door and her grandparents answered the door and called police.
Police seized the girls laptop to track the communication between the two.
Chapman is being held without bond in the Erie County jail on a charge of pandering sexual matter involving a minor. He will appear in court Monday. Police are hoping this story will serve as a reminder for parents to monitor their children on social media.
