Robert Easter Jr. wins the IBF World Lightweight Title

READING, PA (WTVG) - Toledoan Robert Easter, Jr. has won a 12-round split decision over Richard Commey to win the IBF World Lightweight Title in Reading, Pennsylvania.

The scores were 114-113 for Commey and 115-112 & 114-113 for Easter.

Easter's glove scraped the canvas in the 8th round according to the referee and gave Commey a two-point round on a knockdown, the first official one ever suffered by Easter.

But Easter rallied in the 12th and final round, buckling Commey with a right hand as Easter appeared to win the round which ended up being the scoring margin in the fight.
