Rossford robbery ends in chase, foot pursuit

ROSSFORD, Oh (WTVG) - Two suspects are behind bars and another is on the run after an attempted robbery that led to a police chase.

It started at the Target off of US 20 in Rossford.

Police say an armed suspect was attempting to leave the store with a full cart of merchandise.

When approached the suspects fled onto I-75. Rossford police were able to catch up to the vehicle and tried to get the driver to pull over, but instead the man behind the wheel took off.

According to the Rossford Police Department, the driver ended up crashing into a bus stop shelter on N. Erie.

Police say three suspects in the car tried to run; two were caught, including the man who committed the robbery, Lakeith Bey. Officers say a third, unknown man got away.

Bey is being held on bond at the Wood County Justice Center. He was arrested by Toledo and Rossford police after a short foot pursuit.
