Three people sent to hospital following Christmas morning crash

TOLEDO (WTVG) - Three people were sent to the hospital Christmas morning following a single vehicle crash.

It happened shortly after 2AM at the corner of Bancroft and North Irwin.

The Ohio State Highway Patrol say Jordan Bonds, 22, was traveling westbound on Bancroft when he drove off the side of the road and hit a tree.

Troopers say Bonds was trapped inside the vehicle and needed to be extricated.

He was taken to the University of Toledo Medical Center with serious, but non-life threatening injuries.

Two other passengers were also taken to the hospital with minor injuries.

Troopers say alcohol is believed to have been a factor in the crash.
