PUT-IN-BAY, Ohio (WTVG) - Search warrants were executed today in Ottawa County at seven locations as part of an ongoing joint investigation into the Village of Put-in-Bay which is being conducted by the Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigation (BCI) and the Ohio Ethics Commission.
Search warrants were executed at the following locations:
Put-in-Bay Police Office at 431 Catawba Avenue, Put-in-Bay, OH 43456
Put-in-Bay Government Office at 435 Catawba Avenue, Put-in-Bay, OH 43456
A home at 784 Cooper Drive, Put-in-Bay, OH 43456
A home at 804 Cooper Drive, Put-in-Bay, OH 43456
A restaurant at 234 Delaware Avenue, Put-in-Bay, OH 43456
An attorney's office at 211 East 2nd Street, Port Clinton, OH 43452
Jet Express at 3 North Monroe Street, Port Clinton, OH 43452
The Ohio Auditor of State's Office, the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), and the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) also assisted with the execution of the search warrants.
The search warrants were filed under seal. The joint investigation remains ongoing.
A statement from the attorney of Mayor Mac McCann says the mayor has not engaged in any wrongdoings while in his position.
