Six new places to shop and eat at Franklin Park

WTVG - Visitors to Franklin Park Mall will notice the opening of six new retailers in recent days.

“We are thrilled to welcome an updated era of high-tech entertainment to the mall with Ohio’s first dedicated virtual reality and gaming arcade, Sphere Virtual Reality Arcade. Since opening in late September, they’ve welcomed birthday parties, family get-togethers and many amazed faces as people see and experience technology in a whole new way,” said Casey Pogan, Franklin Park Mall marketing director.

In addition to Sphere, Franklin Park recently welcomed two first-to-market retailers to the mall. Nestlé® Toll House® Café by Chip® opened on Saturday, September 2, near Aeropostale and Center Court. The well-known bakery offers freshly baked cookies, custom cookie cakes, and a wide assortment of freshly baked confections, ice creams, wraps, flatbreads, paninis, crepes, mocha frappes and smoothies.

Also new to Toledo, Altar’d State, a women’s fashion boutique, opened Monday, October 9 offering stand-out merchandise and sharing a belief of giving back. The store supports charitable causes while aiming to improve a person’s self-esteem and self-image.

New in Dining, Halloween and Holidays. Three additional stores and dining options opened at Franklin Park this fall. In September, Spirit Halloween opened its seasonal shop near Talmadge Road next to Espres Nail and Spa and Talbots. Spirit Halloween offers props and accessories for the most adventurous Halloween goers, including original outfits, as well as hats, wigs, shoes and makeup.

Northeastern Ohio-based Mr. Hero sandwich shop opened Thursday, September 7 in the mall’s Food Court. Cooked-to-order for each customer, Mr. Hero’s options include subs with chicken, steak, burgers and more, loaded with your choice of tater tots, onion petals, fried pickles or jalapeno poppers. Diners can also choose from signature items such as the Romanburger®, Hot Buttered Cheesesteak™, Grilled Chicken Philly and Potato Waffer® Fries and cheese.

Just in time for holiday shopping, Go! Calendars | Go! Games opened Wednesday, October 4 in the mall’s expansion wing near Foot Locker. Go! Calendars | Go! Games offers 2018 calendars ranging from pets, sports, travel, folk arts and more. The store also offers a wide variety of games, toys and accessories for the entire family..
