Stop The Bleed

Mercy Health has a new program teaches the ABC's of stopping the bleeding when someone suffers an injury with massive bleeding.
It's called Stop The Bleed.

A- Alert emergency by calling 9-1-1

B- Find the Bleeding Wound

D- Administer Compression or a Tourniquet. You can use a belt, or a shirt or anything that can be applied tight enough to stop the bleeding. If you can't stop it by putting one tourniquet on, then put another one on two inches above it.

Mercy Health is now offering training classes to school systems for their staff and students. All it's employees will be trained in Stop The Bleed as part of ALICE training for active shooters.
