SYLVANIA, Ohio (WTVG) - Federal investigators have charged a Sylvania man after they say they found more than 27,000 disturbing pornographic images involving children, including infants, and sometimes rape, and more than 1,300 videos.
Mark Koltz, 26, was arrested at his home after police executed a search warrant at the property.
According to the affidavit filed in federal court, Sylvania police were conducting an online internet investigation to identify those viewing and sharing child pornography.
Koltz first appeared on their radar in March and in September after some surveillance, federal agents and Sylvania PD executed a search warrant at the Koltz home.
The court document states that Koltz was home at the time and agreed to talk to police. He admitted to having the videos and images and said he "was addicted to it." He also told investigators he had been downloading images since high school and focused on girls under 10 years old.
The 26-year-old maintained he had never touched a child inappropriately.
Koltz has been released from jail after posting $120,000 bond.
