TOLEDO, Ohio (WTVG) - Toledo Police detectives say a man is dead and his suspected murderer is in police custody this weekend.

This all started Friday afternoon at around 1:00pm on Reen Drive, just a block north of Laskey.

Police say they when they arrived, they found 18-year-old Eliakim Yates with at least one gunshot wound. He was taken to the hospital.

Police were then called to another hospital, where they found 20-year-old William Axel with a gunshot wound. He later died.

Detectives determined that Yates, the teen who they found on Reen Drive, was the suspect in their murder investigation. Yates now faces murder charges. He'll be booked into the Lucas County Jail once he's released from the hospital.

A third person, a teenage boy, is also facing a charge of felonious assault for shooting the murder suspect.
