Teen hit by car in BG cited for underage consumption

BOWLING GREEN, Ohio (13abc Action News) - She was hit by a car, tossed onto the sidewalk and cited by state troopers.

The accident happened at about 1:50AM Friday on Wooster Street near Enterprise in Bowling Green.

According to a news release from the Ohio State Highway Patrol, the woman, who's 18 and from Hinckley, Ohio, walked from the sidewalk into the path of an oncoming vehicle.

The teen, who was not in a crosswalk, was hit by a 2008 Honda Accord and thrown onto the sidewalk where EMS treated her for minor injuries.

Troopers later charged the young adult with not yielding the right of way to a vehicle and underage alcohol consumption.

The driver of the Honda, who's 21 and from Findlay, is facing charges of exceeding the posted speed limit and Operating a Vehicle While Under the Influence of Alcohol (OVI).

He and his two passengers were not hurt.
