Thousands without power after crash

TOLEDO, Ohio (WTVG) - An early-morning crash has knocked out power to thousands of customers in west Toledo, Sylvania and Sylvania Township, and closed Alexis Road.

It happened around 3:00 AM at the intersection of Plantation and at West Alexis.

Sylvania Township police tell 13abc that no one was hurt, but the crash brought down at least one power pole and multiple transformers.

Officials with Toledo Edison say that the driver hit a "major" line.

While Toledo Edison restored power, Alexis was closed near Flanders and Plantation.
Power has since been restored, and the road is back open.
