TOLEDO (13abc Action News) - Some of the best restaurants and chefs in Northwest Ohio will gather together under a tent in the parking lot of the Toledo Club in April, to do their part to fight childhood hunger in our community.
And some of the most generous and well dressed people in our community will enjoy their culinary delights for the 22nd year.
It's time again for Taste of the Nation Toledo which is the largest culinary event benefiting childhood hunger.
This year's guest Chef is Bill Fuller from Pittsburgh's Big Burrito restaurant group. Fuller has been awarded both Chef of the Year and Restaurateur of the Year from "Pittsburgh Magazine."
100 percent of the proceeds support Share Our Strength's No Kid Hungry campaign to end childhood hunger in America.
The local beneficiaries of this years party are Toledo GROWS, Toledo Day Nursery, Aurora House and Toledo Northwestern Ohio Food Bank.
Proper attire is required this year and it's black tie optional.
Taste of the Nation Toledo is Sunday, April 30 at The Toledo Club. Hours for the food tent are from 5 p,m. to 8 p.m. with music from 8 p.m until 10 p.m.
Tickets are $175 but they go up to $225 after March 16.
