TOLEDO (13abc Action News) - Drive over the Indiana bridge in downtown Toledo and you'll feel a few bumps along the ride.
Lance Dasher with the Toledo Metropolitan Area Council of Governments (or TMACOG) said there are many roads, structures and bridges in Lucas and Wood Counties in need of repair. Dasher said his team is trying to fix that.
"There's about $750 million worth of projects for the next four years," said Dasher. "We discuss regional issues and prioritize them."
The orange barrels serve a useful purpose and there will soon be more around our area.
Dasher said federal and state dollars go toward, "reconstruction, resurfacing, bikeway projects, congestion mitigation, air quality projects, roundabouts and road diets."
More than 180 projects in both counties will be spread throughout July 1st of 2017 and lasting until 2021.
