TOLEDO (WTVG) - St. Ursula Academy asked Toledo Police to help investigate a potential social media threat on Friday. In letter to parents, the principal said "we have no first-hand evidence of that threat. After an investigation that took place this morning, the Toledo Police Department feels that we are safe. They will remain in our building the rest of the day just as a precaution." The school said TPD determined a lockdown was not necessary.
The department asked school administrators to keep students in the classroom for a time while the threat was investigated.
The principal says they are working closely with the police department to find out more about this threat and encourages anyone with information on any possible threats to contact the school.
