Firefighters give 'all clear' after gas leak at University of Toledo

TOLEDO, Ohio (13abc Action News) - Students are back in their rooms after a natural gas leak at the University of Toledo.

The leak started around 3:30 Friday at the Academic House located on Rocket Drive.

Columbia Gas tells 13abc the leak happened after a contractor working in the area hit a service line.

Students located in that building were initially evacuated, but have since been allowed to return, university leaders said.

Crews are now on scene making repairs and service is expected to be restored in a couple of hours.
